Welcome to Y4!
The children have settled into our new classroom really well and it's been lovely getting to know them better.
We have got so much learning going on this half term. In English, we have just finished our theme of 'Stories set in an imaginary world' where the children could use their amazing imaginations to create some fabulous pieces of work in their Big Write.
In maths, we have just finished our work on place value and are about to start on addition and subtraction of 3 and 4-digit numbers.
We have been looking at the cities, counties and the regions of the UK in Geography and are now studying the hills, mountains and rivers too.
In Science, we are learning all about 'Animals and their Environments', classifying them using different criteria and identifying dangers to wildlife in the local environment.
In RE, we are exploring the Story of David and his strengths and qualities. We will also be reading the Psalms and using them to discover more about the nature of God.
I am so looking forward to the rest of the term and getting to know you all better.
